Antique Thayer Crib Parts

by Darice
(Johnstown, PA)

I am looking for a store or online resource that sells antique Thayer crib parts. The pieces I want to buy are the standard bars that hold the side rails and allow the side rails to slide up and down.

I know they are called "J" bars but when I refer to them by that name, most people don't have a clue as to what I am talking about.

If anyone has any suggestions for a website or store that carries Antique Thayer Crib Parts, please contact me using the space below (and don't forget to include your contact information in case I need to get in touch with you!).

Unique Baby Gear Ideas encourages our visitors to share their resources for crib replacement parts, alert us to crib recalls and to consider writing reviews of their cribs to make our little community of expectant parents aware of any problems that are associated with different models and brands.

Antique Thayer Crib

We have a Thayer Crib in excellent condition. It was the crib for me and my brother, from the late 1950s. If you are interested, please let me know. I can send you photos.

Vintage Thayer Crib
by: Jane Kehl

I read in your web site of some parents looking for Thayer Crib Parts. I have a complete vintage crib that was in storage for 60 years that was used for me and then my mother used it for my brother. After the two of us no longer needed the crib, it was taken apart covered up and stored.

We just pulled it out and cleaned it up all the parts are there even all the original screws my mother had put them in a plastic bag and kept them with the bars and the mattress spring. It was white but through the years it has turned but still in good condition. If any one is interested I can be contacted by EMAIL my EMAIL address is:

Sincerely,
Jane Kehl
