When I opened the box, ready to inspect the Sayonara Kalencom Midi diaper bag for this review, I was immediately struck by all of the possibilites for this beautiful baby bag.

As frequent visitors to my baby website are aware, I like to maintain a certain level of continuity between my baby nursery decorating ideas and baby gear whenever possible. And the Sayonara diaper bag is a dream come true for a mom such as myself that believes baby gear and nursery themes should coordinate without being too "matchy matchy". Not only are the colors devine, but the graphics make it the perfect baby gift for a mom with

a.) a bird baby nursery theme

b.) a dragonfly nursery theme

c.) an Asian nursery theme

d.) a butterfly nursery theme


KALENCOM MIDI DIAPER BAG FUNCTION

Perhaps just as important (I refuse to say "more") as the Midi baby bag’s good looks is the functionality and convenience of the bag which is everything that I have come to expect coming from Kalencom New Orleans.

The Kalencome Midi diaper bag is the perfect "grab it and pack it quick" baby bag. Slightly smaller than the Ozz (2 inches in width and 3 inches in height), there’s plenty of room for everything you need for a quick trip to the park or a dash to the mall.

There are two substantial elastic loops on each end of the interior to hold baby’s bottles in place and three pockets lined up along the back to organize anything an extra pacifier or two, toys or other small items. With bottles in place and the pockets filled, there is plenty of room in the interior for plenty of diapers, wipes, the large changing pad (that comes with the diaper bag) and a change of clothes.

There is a very nice coordinated zippered pouch that I can think of so MANY uses for PLUS two perfectly sized pockets on the outside of the bag that will keep your cell phone and car keys handy (you could keep a special set on the classy Fleur de Lis Kalencom logo keychain that comes with the diaper bag!) without having to shake down the baby bag, dig for them in the bottom of the bag and then shake again and again until they surface.

And if you’re concerned about the contents of the bag falling out if you drop the bag or if it’s turned over... don’t. I bounced mine around in preparation for the Kalencom diaper bag review to see if the magnetic snaps held and they passed my test with flying colors.


CONSTRUCTION

I appreciate that for the money, the Kalencom Midi Diaper bag looks good and will CONTINUE to look good until you have no further need of a place to store baby bottles. The coating of the exterior can stand up to anything baby can dish out. With a quick swipe of a wipe your bag will be looking like brand new.

COST

Oh yeah, the price is right! At $50 you get so much for your money! I love the Ozz, but if you don’t take a lot of long trips with baby the midi is cheap and will probably work just fine for you.

KALENCOM NEW ORLEANS THINKS OF EVERYTHING!

The the storage pockets of the Kalencom midi diaper bag are pretty standard fare in today’s market. But when I saw extras like the keychain, the easy wipe exterior and the emergency baby care card (not just tucked inside, but literally chained to the bag) I can feel really good about saying that Kalencom New Orleans has a good understand of what modern moms want in a baby bag.
