Here’s where to find the best baby christening gown patterns. There are a few patterns that are currently available and others that have been discontinued in our list. We also have some resources for free christening crochet patterns and knitted patterns that we have organized so that finding the right pattern for your project is quick and easy.
My reasoning behind listing of the out of print baby christening gown patterns as well as the new ones is that if you know the pattern number you might get lucky and find the pattern online, or at a garage sale or flea market. Using a vintage pattern has its advantages. The old gowns have an old fashioned, traditional look that you may prefer over modern styles. And as always there is the price factor to consider.
At the time of this article, the prices I have seen vintage baby christening gown patterns selling for are in the range of anywhere between $3 and less than $10. Often the packages have never been opened and the pattern pieces are in pristine condition never having been cut.
