Where can I find upper post replacement brackets for a Simmons 1213 crib? I would like to be able to use this crib but need this part. The baby bed was built in 1991.

Where Can I find an Upper Post Replacement Bracket for a Simmons 1213 Crib

The replacement parts I am looking for are the 4 upper post brackets. These are the only plastic parts on the entire crib.

Where can I order replacements for them?

Where to Find Plastic Parts for a Simmons Crib

The best way to request genuine Simmons hardware
is on the official Simmons support/parts page:

Simmons directs you to fill out a replacement-parts request. You’ll need to find your crib’s model number, which is typically on a label inside the headboard.

If your crib is discontinued (but not part of a recall or unsafe for any other reason), many parents have had success searching third-party retailers (or even listing a "want ad") on sites that stock older crib parts.

Because cribs are very safety-critical, it is always recommended to get the correct part from the manufacturer or a qualified supplier, rather than improvise with generic parts.

If you just lost brackets or small hardware (bolts, nuts, connectors, etc.), some of the universal kits may work — though you’ll want to verify compatibility first (match bolt size, bracket shape, crib post spacing, etc.).

⚠️ Safety Warning & My Strong Recommendation

Because cribs — especially older ones like a 1991 model 1213 — are safety-critical, you should:

First try to get the proper replacement parts from the manufacturer (via the method above).

If you use after-market or "universal" hardware, verify that bolt sizes, bracket alignment, and overall stability meet safety standards for infant cribs (no loose bolts, no wobble, correct alignment).

If you cannot confidently match parts or confirm stability — consider replacing the crib, especially if it's old or missing multiple pieces.
