Simmons Crib Model Number is Partially Torn Off

by Leslie

My Simmons crib model number is partially torn off and I don't know what to do. It is a Simmons Little Folks drop side crib that I am trying to get screws for or find a conversion kit for so that it is no longer is a dropside.

What to do when
the Simmons crib model number is partially torn off

The crib is made of ash and solid ramin wood which is a light-colored hardwood from Southeast Asia.

The bed has a arched top and the numbers I do have are 0167 ____ -347 but the rest were ripped off.

See stabilizer options that are available here.

Can anyone identify and let me know please? Thank you!

What to do when your Simmons Crib's label is missing
by: Anonymous

Labels come up missing a lot on cribs that are 10–20+ years old that have been shuffled around from one storage space to another or repeatedly used.

Here are some suggestions as to what you might do:

1) You’ve already identified a few key things:

It’s a Simmons Little Folks drop-side crib

The wood is ash and solid ramin (a light hardwood)

The visible partial numbers are 0167 ___-347

That’s enough to confirm the general family of crib, even if the exact full model number is missing.

2) Important safety note

All drop-side cribs — including Little Folks models — were banned for new use in 2010 because of serious safety hazards with the sliding rail. Even with replacement hardware, these cribs are not considered safe for sleep under the current standards. So the safest recommendation is not to use it as a sleep crib for a baby. If you want to keep it for another purpose (like a daybed or decorative bench) that’s a different conversation.

3) If you still want parts or a conversion kit
you can check
crib stabilizer options that are available here.
.

Here’s what you can do now:

A. Try to get a more complete model ID

Take clear photos of every tag, sticker, and embossed number/letter on the crib (especially the headboard/footboard and the rail ends).

Even partial sets of digits help when matched against parts diagrams.

B. Contact crib parts specialists
There are several companies that collect old crib hardware schematics and sometimes stock:

Screws & bolts

Conversion kits (drop-side to fixed side) — note: these are no longer recommended as a "safety fix," but some older parts sellers may still list them

When you contact them, you can provide:

Photos of the crib

The partial number you have

Measurements of the rail and hole spacing

C. Check AMC/Consumer databases
Sometimes archived manuals or parts lists exist online through archived catalogs or databases. The partial number you have — "0167 ___-347" — might align with other Little Folks parts diagrams if we can fill in a few more characters from photos.

4) If you send:

A photo of the crib’s headboard/footboard front and back

Close-ups of any remaining numbers/letters

A photo of the drop-side rail ends and hole patterns

It may be possible to match it to the correct Little Folks parts breakdown

Identify exactly which screws/bolts are needed

See if any legitimate conversion kit or fixed-side parts listing exists.
