Can someone guide me where I can purchase round metal crib parts? I need to buy all of the brass posts for my Little Miss Liberty Brass Round Frette Canopy Crib that I have carefully saved from when my kids were little.

Round Metal Crib Replacement Parts

I need to get replacement parts for a brass Little Miss Liberty Frette Round Crib because all of the support poles have been lost. We can't locate any of the crib's poles and my oldest daughter is having a baby (my first grandbaby) and we want to give her the crib.

Go here to see what replacement parts are available to fit this crib

Does anyone know where I can purchase these poles? I have attached a picture to demonstrate exactly how this beautiful round crib looks when it's completely assembled. We have the top and the bottom of the baby bed just no poles. I also attached a photo of the crib as it looks without any poles,. There may be eight poles needed if the poles are not one long pole but rather two separate pieces that fit together.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What You Might Do About Lost Brass Support Poles to a Little Miss Liberty Frette Round Crib
by: Anonymous

Little Miss Liberty (and the Frette-branded models) produced several round crib designs that use decorative brass support poles around the base of the crib or to support the canopy. Over the years, many parents have misplaced the poles, and replacement parts can be very difficult to track down because the company is no longer producing most of the original hardware.

Here are some options to consider — in order of possibility:

1. Identify Which Version of the Round Crib You Have

Little Miss Liberty made several versions:

Round Crib with Brass Crown Canopy

Round Crib with Surrounding Brass Accent Poles

Frette Luxury Round Crib Line (same manufacturer, higher-end branding)

Do you know:

Length of each pole

Diameter

Thread type (if applicable)

Whether the poles were decorative or load-bearing?

2. Check the Secondary Market for Originals

These cribs were expensive, so families rarely throw parts away. The most reliable sources for original poles:

Where to check

eBay — parts sometimes appear individually

Local Buy/Sell/Trade baby groups

Craigslist

Tip:

Search for the entire crib being sold "for parts" — the poles are often included.

3. Contact Little Miss Liberty’s Former Distributor

Even though the company is no longer fully active, some warehouse stock and overrun parts still exist.

4. Consider Custom Brass Pole Replacements

When originals are unavailable, parents have had success getting new poles made.

A metal fabricator or machinist can easily duplicate:

length

diameter

finish (brushed brass, polished brass, antiqued brass)

To do this, you will need:

One remaining original pole OR

The measurement specifications (I can help you write a list of required measurements)

This option usually costs $20–$60 per pole depending on finish.

6. Safety Note

These round cribs are beautiful but old, and many models pre-date current US crib safety standards. Any replacement should maintain:

Proper rigidity

No wobble or lean

Correct mattress support height

No gaps larger than 2⅜ inches

No peeling brass or sharp edges.

You might try Million Dollar Baby Company’s parts-store, which sells replacement hardware packs for many crib models. On their site they say: to order parts, you must "input the model name or number as printed on your product’s white label.

Safety Checklist for a Frette-Style / Little Miss Liberty Round Crib

(especially given missing parts)

If you repair or replace missing hardware, make sure crib meets the following safety criteria:

Mattress support is solid and stable — no sagging, no wobble, and no risk of collapse even under full load (infant + mattress).

All support poles (whether original brass or replacement) are securely attached and cannot shift, slide, or loosen. Nuts, bolts, or fittings are tightened, and fasteners are appropriate for the material and load.

No gaps or spaces larger than 2⅜ inches (≈ 6 cm) — especially between slats, sides, and the mattress — to prevent entrapment / suffocation risk.

If using custom-made parts: edges and joints must be smooth (no sharp edges, burrs, rough welding, or exposed threading), and finish (paint or brass polish) should be safe — no flaking or peeling that could pose a choking hazard.

Mattress fits snugly with no more than two-finger width between mattress and crib sides.

Mattress support height should be adjusted so that even if a baby stands, they can’t climb out (or reach dangerous hardware).

Check the sturdiness of the canopy (if applicable) or poles intended for decorative use — make sure nothing can fall or shift, and weight-bearing parts are not holding more than they are rated for.

Re-inspect all hardware after assembly — check monthly, because movement (jostling, mattress changes, cleaning) can loosen bolts or degrade fittings over time.

If any part is custom-fabricated: make sure materials are non-toxic, durable, and appropriate for nursery use (e.g. brass or stainless steel rather than soft, easy-to-bend metal; avoid materials that rust or corrode).

Finally: consider that many vintage cribs pre-date modern crib safety regulations. If possible, evaluate whether your crib — even repaired — meets current safety guidelines for infant use. If in doubt, consider replacing with a modern crib built to current standards.
