WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A BABY CARRIER

by Donna Pavcik
(Sharpsville, PA 16150)

After making mistakes with my first baby, I have learned what to look for in a baby carrier.

  1. Wide, padded shoulder straps and a wide padded waistband or strap that are adjustable according to size
  2. A carrier that holds baby in a reclined position until she has good head and neck control.
  3. Easy on and off. If you need help to load and unload the baby you better be sure that you have very good neighbors that are always at home and at your disposal
  4. A brand that can be used for an extended period of time.
  5. Lightweight and foldable.
  6. One that fits your lifestyle. A hiker knows what to look for in a baby carrier to climb mountain trails and moms whose biggest adventure is a trip to the playground should be similarly informed.

I know what features and characteristics to look for in a baby carrier now. But I made some bad decisions in the past and wasted money that I could have spent on other gear if I had only done my homework.

For what it's worth, I have read reviews on the free baby carrier offered in this giveaway and can tell from the pictures that it's a good candidate for me so I hope that I win!
