Under the Sea Nursery Theme

Necessity was the inspiration for our baby's under the sea nursery theme. Given the layout of our home, we had no choice but to include our large aquarium in the nursery so we decided to make the best of a bad situation by including it as part of the baby's tropical fish theme nursery decorations.

Once I had a cute ocean baby bedding set and mobile, I made the decision to paint the top of the walls a light aqua color and the bottom an oyster white that reminded me of the color of the ocean against the beach of a tropical island on a sunny day.

Then I found some fish theme party decorations and I used them to make wall arrangements. I am very pleased with the way that the tropical fish in the aquarium are not just "there" but add so much to the look of my baby's under the sea nursery theme. Plus, it really reduced the cost of decorating the baby's nursery by a lot!

Even though the problem of what to do with the fish tank gave us a push in this decoration, we're pleased because it all came out rather cute.
