Sage and brown baby bedding offers many decorating opportunities for gender neutral nursery decoration that is both fresh and earthy. Not every mom bows to the appeal of decorating a room for her baby using earth tones. Perhaps they consider these members of the color family to be somewhat less than cheerful.
Or perhaps these colors are simply too far from the traditional pastel shades of baby pink, blue, green or yellow that has been the foundation of nursery decor for decades. It’s true that in recent years the most acceptable themes for a brown baby nursery design would be Peter Rabbit, Beatrix Potter or Nutbrown Hare nursery themes. The light brown fur of our favorite storybook bunnies was as deep as we were willing to delve into the rich tones of the color wheel.
That was before modern baby bedding manufacturers began to test the water with collections made of quality, high thread count fabrics that featured geometric patterns and shapes rather than juvenile prints. With the introduction of these new designs came interesting new color combinations. Sage and brown baby bedding, lime green and chocolate and combinations of teal and tan made the scene in a big way.
If you believe that mothers decorating baby boy nurseries were the only ones considering a brown baby nursery theme, you are wrong. There were just as many toying with brown and pink baby girl nursery ideas. The reason behind the trend may be that there are homes decorated in such a way that a powder pink nursery in the middle of a sea of earth tones would be less than appealing.
Sage and brown baby bedding and other variations of green and brown baby bedding offered options for a stylish nursery color scheme that was more in keeping with the rest of their home’s layout. For a baby girl’s room, the more masculine sage and brown baby bedding could be replaced with a set using teal blue or bright green to brighten the contrasting dark brown color and make it more feminine.
Green and brown baby bedding is a way to take the bedroom back to nature as well as to decorate with stripes, polka dots or circles in bold contrasts. Have fun exploring your options and please send pictures of your brown baby nursery to share with other visitors to our site.
