Baby at Sundown

I was 30 weeks pregnant when this pregnant belly silhouette picture was taken.
I had wanted another baby for the longest time but my husband was not interested in having any more. We had a 9 year old and a 7 year old and as much as I prayed it would just happen one day it never did. We had a bit of of an oops on Jan 19/09 and even though I wished I was pregnant I was sure it wouldn't have been that easy. One oops in 7 years - what are the odds? Anyhow,I was to have surgery on Jan 29/09 and so I went to the doctor for a pregnancy test just to be sure. I had a urine test and it was negative as well as a blood test. The doctor never called to confirm anything so I had my surgery as planned. About a week after my surgery I was visiting my sister and her new baby. She just happened to have a pregnancy test at her house so we did it. It came back positive!!! So - I called my PCP right away and went to see her. They did a urine test at their office and it was negative! So, off for a blood test I went. They didn't want to treat me as being pregnant so they tried to convince me that my home test was wrong. I wouldn't hear of it - this was meant to be! So - they booked me for an ultrasound. I was indeed pregnant...it was the most amazing feeling - yet I was scared because I had been under anaesthetic. On October 1/09 I delivered a healthy little baby boy we called Parker. He's now 4 months old and just 10 lbs. He's tiny but perfect and has won our hearts over like we never thought possible. I went for routine blood work last week and the lab tech said to me that I was her medical mystery. She said my blood test had come back negative as well and when she had heard I was pregnant she checked the results again. So this baby was trying really hard to stay a secret but his mommy knew!
