PERSONALIZED ONESIES

Personalized onesies are at the top of my list of perfect baby shower gift ideas. Fancy baby clothes are nice, but sometimes they are just too expensive for my budget, especially since everybody I know seems to be having babies right and left. I don’t need to tell you that means that I am buying a boat load of baby onesies these days.
What I like to do is to tie the theme of my personalized onesies to something that the mom or dad have a great fondness for. This could be anything from a hobby to a specific occupation. Why we like to use our babies clothing as billboards for our likes and dislikes is a wonder. Nevertheless I see lots of babies and toddlers running around in Harley Davidson rompers and you can bet that they don’t know a motorcycle from a carousel horse, so somebody else’s ego was behind that purchase.

There are cute baby onesies of every color from black onesies to hot pink. The question is how do you create personalized onesies as unique baby gifts in a particular theme especially if you are not a girl that’s good at crafts projects such as me? Here are some ideas on how to get a unique, custom onesie:

If you are artistic, buy a cheap, cotton onesie and some fabric pens and get to work! You can paint a colorful, funny onesie that will make everybody laugh and be the toast of the baby shower
- Go to Etsy and find an artist that specializes in decorating handmade onesies. I have seen some handmade baby clothes and personalized onesies from there that would take your breath away. Ebay is another place to look for homemade goodies
COOL ONESIES in THEMES
Whether you prefer custom painted or embroidered onesies; personalization may require a theme of some kind. If you don’t have any idea of what kind of theme the nursery might be decorated in or if mommy and daddy don’t have hobbies or a job that would work as a theme for your personalized onesies, you may have to have baby’s monogram or some generic baby motif like a bunny or a teddy bear embroidered on your outfit.
