Little Princess Theme Bedroom - Blakelyn's Private Castle Nursery

My wife always wanted a little princess theme bedroom for our baby girl. I'm pretty good at designing whatever she wants. So I ran with it and ended up with the perfect castle nursery for our beautiful daughter.

I started out with a classic two-tone, pink Disney princess color scheme. We were initially going to go with all the Disney Princess characters so I painted and painted and used self-adhesive wall stickers. When I finished I saw that it was way too girly so I tore it all down and started over.


I have a very good artist friend that I go to church with and talked to him about painting a princess theme mural and he was very excited with the idea. What started out as "just gonna paint a Princess castle on the nursery wall" grew into the beautiful painting that you see in the pictures. He took our concept of a princess theme bedroom or nursery for our baby girl and made it into a little girl's dream and we love it.

I'm not very good with words so I don't know what else to say. I just wanted to enter my baby girl's princess theme bedroom into a contest (LOL!).

The picture of the baby's nursery that I put on here is just the back wall but the entire room is decorated just like what you see in the photograph. The scenery beyond the back wall continues around the entire room. Then the doors and the entry door are were painted using a wood texture painting technique to look just like woodgrain. The saying that is painted on the nursery wall says:

"Every childs life is a fairy tale written by God's fingertips."
