French Baby Shower Theme Ideas, Invitations and Menus
There are several modern approaches to a French baby shower theme that have just recently become available. Ideas for showers that go far beyond French poodles have recently been seen in action at least one celebrity baby shower and if there is anything to put a rush on anything associated with Paris, France (or any country for that matter) it would have to be a shower for a celebrity.
FRENCH POODLE BABY SHOWER THEME Pink Poodles in Paris, how very girly and Parisian this theme is! With decorations and tableware in colors of white, pink and black with a liberal dose of satin ribbons and rhinestones this shower shouts "BABY GIRL" all the way to the sidewalk cafes of Paris.
EIFFEL TOWER BABY SHOWER I’m on the fence as to whether this French baby shower theme could be used as well for a baby boy’s shower as a shower for a baby girl. The Eiffel Tower is not exactly feminine by design, but if you use this theme for a baby boy, I think it would be a really cute idea if your Eiffel Tower baby shower invitations have a picture of a baby boy wearing a beret and a French mustache on the front!
GENDER NEUTRAL PARISIAN BABY SHOWER Once upon a time if someone had asked, my opinion on whether a Parisian baby shower was better suited for a baby boy or a girl, my vote would have been cast in the feminine direction. However, my eyes have been opened to the fact that there IS a way to base a French baby shower theme on something associated with Paris that is not frilly. Some savvy hostess came up with a Cirque du BeBe shower theme and it is just to die for.
It is a fun and slightly vintage variation of a circus baby shower theme that plays on the name, Cirque du Soleil, which in reality is more closely associated with Canada or Las Vegas. But the name of the circus is French so forgive us if we play fast and loose with that if for no other reason that this French baby shower theme’s decorations are so precious. I would use vintage circus posters, toy circus animals, and maybe even dress up as the circus ringmaster or a bareback rider just for fun.
MENU SUGGESTIONS FOR A FRENCH BABY SHOWER THEME The menu for a Parisian baby shower would be very easy. Wine and cheese with sparkling cider for mom, gourmet treats of your choice and fancy French pastries artfully arranged on dessert carts would make light work for a hostess.
