I want to recommend a FREE Baby Hat Knitting Pattern that I've used more than any other other baby knitting pattern! I came across it right after it was corrected the first time in 2008 and have been knitting one after the other ever since!

I love the soft ribbing and the cute little pom pom on top. It's just right for a baby boy or girl's first winter hat.

I found the pattern in the summer (the best time to get started knitting homemade Christmas presents for babies!) but procrastinated even after I bought the needles and skeins of Wool Ease Chunky yarn. When I finally got around to starting I was so sorry that I had put it off for so long because I finished it in just a few hours!

THIS free baby hat knitting pattern is a great pattern that is super easy for a beginner's first hat and totally cute! If you have yarn leftover after you make the knit baby hat you might want to make some baby booties because a matched set makes such a lovely and CHEAP baby gift!

You will have some time involved in making the hat and booties, but if you love to knit like I do that won't count! Enjoy!
