Dr. Seuss Decor Horton Hears a Who Baby Nursery Theme Wall Mural
We did not have any expectations for our baby's Dr. Seuss decor from the very beginning of the decorating process. But after some improvisation on the nursery's decorations and lots of hard work, the room turned out great!
Before we ever got started, my husband and I knew that we wanted to do something different for our baby's room. After a little brainstorming for nursery ideas, we decided that a Horton Hears a Who nursery theme would be cute.
NURSERY WALL DECOR
We did some research into nursery painting techniques so that we would know how best to get the walls decorated in our chosen theme.
After developing a plan of action my husband used a projector to trace the pictures onto the wall and then hand painted the rest of the nursery mural.
DR. SEUSS NURSERY BEDDING
The biggest challenge that we encountered in completing the nursery's Dr. Seuss decor was that we couldn't find a set of baby bedding specifically designed for a Horton Hears a Who nursery theme.
We worked around this problem by shopping for blue elephant baby bedding sets! The colors in the crib set were perfect for our room and what is Horton after all but a big, blue elephant?
From the webmaster:
Aimee, the story of how you and your husband created your nursery's Dr. Seuss decor is an inspiration to us all! It's amazing what can be done when two loving parents put their heads together!
Thanks for entering your Horton Hears a Who room design into our baby nursery pictures contest.
If you have a moment, could you please send some closeup pictures of the nursery mural to uniquebabygear at bellsouth.net so that I can add them? I have a feeling that other parents are going to want to get a closer look at your baby nursery design!
All the best,
Jan
