The Unbiased Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller Review

Would you like to be an owner of a Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller (or the Bugaboo Chameleon Stroller)? (I see it spelled both ways and it is kind of confusing, but who really cares?) Unfortunately these strollers are not cheap. Your best bet to get one at an inexpensive price is to shop the discount sales or find a used Bugaboo stroller in good condition.

Celebrity moms are seen out and about with their babies in Bugaboo Cameleon strollers and you know that you would love to have one! Besides being touted as high end and exclusive, they are by far one of the most innovative strollers or in the stores today! This is the luxuray baby stroller for the mom with discerning taste. So, how can the everyday mother justify blowing the budget on this haute couture stroller to the stars? Read on!

Let's see, there is the Bugaboo Frog, the Bugaboo Gecko and now there's the Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller.



Kind of makes you wonder what the connection baby strollers would have with frogs and lizards?

It's not like we expect to be strolling off into the water with our babies in our handy little Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller? Right?

Where they are going with the amphibious naming of the product I'm not sure.

In hindsight, I would have suggested they go with a baseball theme: Over the Wall or Homerun or something like that because these baby strollers are winners!

I have been Bugaboo Frog stroller owner for several years and now look forward to strolling our little one in the new kid on the block, the Bugaboo Chameleon Stroller

From first glance, the Bugaboo Cameleon did not seem to be that different from my Bugaboo Frog. I would suggest you read my review of the Frog and then this one. That seems fitting as the Cameleon is really the Frog tweaked to perfection. This is a luxury stroller from jump! No pun intended. It's plush, posh and ready to rock n roll! The Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller is a larger, more spacious, and to top it all off there are 18 different color combinations to pick from. Something for everybody! Even for the most stroller-crazed Celebrity Moms!

There still one sorrowful fact. A parent operating on a tight budget is going to feel the pain of the initial purchase price.

The first thing that I noticed was that the frame is slightly larger than my baby stroller at home. This baby stroller is pretty darn big. The Bugaboo Frog is not exactly a compact model. But, you will need to have an SUV with a roomy storage area for this puppy. It has a roomier seating area, adjustable handlebars, improved bassinet padding, fleece interior, and larger hood just to mention a few of the improvements. Comparing the Cameleon to other strollers is rather like comparing a Lamborghini to a roller skate.

If you are of average height and need a slightly smaller stroller with a little less storage, take a look at the Bugaboo Gecko.

The other changes have to do with adjustable shocks...things that are not visible. You have to try the stroller and compare the two. This is still not a jogging stroller, but it's a VERY good stroller. Did I mention that celebrity moms use it?

The Bugaboo Chameleon and the Bugaboo Frog are great strollers for tall parents. The handlebar on the Bugaboo Cameleon actually extends and extra six inches to allow for the tree topper set!

While the Frog only came in a few colors, the Cameleon gives a choice of eighteen kicking color schemes! They say that the color scheme is even easily changeable once you buy the stroller!

The Cameleon also comes with some items that the Frog only offered as accessories to purchase separately.

• Underseat bag
• Sun canopy
• Rain cover
• Mosquito net

You can purchase more accessories for the Cameleon that are not included as well. The Bugaboo Diaper Bag is pretty neat to complete the overall look. And face it, if you have a Bugaboo stroller..you have the look.
